The Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission is a vibrant economic development organization that supports business growth in Douglas County, MN. They were looking for new ways to support their local businesses, especially through COVID19, when they found the Rural Ideas Network and immediately saw the potential!
After learning more about the ways the Rural Ideas Network is creating value for rural communities, the AAEDC decided to launch an Entrepreneur Lab. This service allows them to provide a full set of business support services, including coaching, peer learning roundtables, and panel discussions, all delivered virtually and powered by Rural Ideas Network staff.
Plus, since the Rural Ideas Network was already delivering services through more than 50 community partners across the country, AAEDC was able to see real-life data on the impact they could expect. Having access to proven programs, quickly and with no administrative burden was ideal for the AAEDC.
