Entrepreneur Lab launches in Sherburne County, MN

Sherburne is a county in central Minnesota that has a population of about 88,000 people. It's located midway between Minneapolis and St. Cloud. Working with the Rural Ideas Network, the Sherburne County Economic Development Authority is launching a new tool to spur new businesses, grow existing businesses, and connect local entrepreneurs with an entire network of support.

The Sherburne County EDA Entrepreneur Lab is an online resource that provides 1:1 on-demand coaching to new and existing businesses, monthly entrepreneur roundtables, and monthly panel discussions featuring industry experts from around the country.

Working with the Rural Ideas Network, a community can launch a new Entrepreneur Lab in a matter of days, providing immediate benefit to their local businesses. And, since all the programs offered by an Entrepreneur Lab are powered by Rural Ideas Network Staff, offering this tool within a community doesn't create any administrative burden for the local economic development organization.

The new Sherburne County EDA Entrepreneur Lab was approved by the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners, after they heard first-hand how other communities in Minnesota were already using this tool to support local entrepreneurs.

Sherburne County is dedicated to providing resources to its businesses that help them grow and thrive within our community. The

Entrepreneur Lab helps us address a gap in our services and provides a cost effective solution to encourage the vitality of our local business community.

~ Sherburne County Commissioner Tim Dolan
