Rebecca joined the Rural Ideas Network in 2020, after participating in the Innovation Lab Accelerator and launching an Innovation Lab in North Dakota. In her role at the Rural Ideas Network, Rebecca helps promote Virtual Entrepreneur Labs, coordinates the annual Rural Ideas Summit (returning in 2021), and provides coaching to entrepreneurs.

Rebecca is a published author, rural entrepreneur, podcaster, and public speaker that focuses on building vibrant, livable rural communities.

In addition to coaching entrepreneurs and helping communities across the country use Rural Ideas Network tools, Rebecca spends a good bit of her time running her personal business (rebeccaundem.com) and managing Growing Small Towns (growingsmalltowns.org), the nonprofit organization she launched in 2019 after participating in the Innovation Lab Accelerator. She is based in Oakes, North Dakota (pop. ~1,800) and works to make small rural communities more livable by fusing arts, economic development, and personal growth programming.

Rebecca has formal experience in executive training and participates in several economic development initiatives in her area.

The Rural Ideas Network provides tools and connections that help innovators and entrepreneurs spark growth in rural America. Together we create positive economic outcomes for small towns and communities.
